The Beginning Yoga online program helps active adults learn the basics of yoga through alignment-focused yoga, breathwork, meditation, and heartfelt self-reflection, so they can improve mobility and posture, strengthen their mind-body connection, and practice yoga anywhere. 

Many beginners want to start yoga, but find themselves caught between classes that feel too random or general and yoga teacher trainings that don't help them learn the fundamentals.

What’s often missing is a clear, supportive path in between, that will help you understand the basics, while giving you the confidence and resources to build and support your own practice moving forward.

Whether you’re completely new to yoga, finding it difficult to attend regular in-studio classes, or moving through a life transition and looking to reconnect with yourself, this program will help you establish that strong and sustainable foundation you're looking for. 

 You don’t need to be flexible, experienced, or “good at yoga” to begin, you simply need a clear place to start.

Course Overview:

  • Introduction
  • Part 1: Setting the Foundation (Modules 1-3)
  • Part 2: Building Inner Stability & Focus (Module 4-6)
  • Part 3: Expanding Breath & Movement (Modules 7-9)
  • Each includes a 45-60 minute yoga practice
  • Bonuses: Yoga Pose Index (pdf), Guided Meditations/Breathing exercises, Journaling prompts. Facebook group access for personalized support from Jeannine and fellow course/community members. 

You'll experience:

  • essential yoga postures and how to practice them safely

  • foundational alignment principles that help support strength, mobility, and body awareness

  • breathing and meditation practices to help calm the nervous system and improve focus

  • how yoga can support you physically, mentally and emotionally in everyday life.    

Rather than rushing through poses or trying to keep up with others, you’ll be guided progressively and methodically so you can understand what you’re doing, why it matters, and how to adapt the practice to your own body and needs.

By the end of the program, you’ll not only know how to do the common yoga poses, you’ll have the confidence and understanding to continue your yoga journey with greater clarity, independence, and trust in yourself.

I'm Jeannine,

I'm a yoga therapist and teacher with nearly 20 years of experience helping beginner to intermediate yoga students build confidence, deepen body awareness, and make steady progress in their practice.

With a background in the Anusara® yoga method and therapeutic yoga, my alignment-based, heart-centered approach blends movement, breathwork, and the wisdom of both ancient traditions and modern science, to guide you towards inner balance, resilience, and a healthier and more empowered you!

I began practicing yoga in 2003 and quickly discovered its transformative benefits, from recovering from knee surgery to facing periods of anxiety, yoga and meditation became powerful tools of support, that now fuel my passion to share these practices with others. I'm looking forward to learn more about you!
